In this video Maxx shows you how to make a latex style sword from a fiberglass core, foam and plasti-dip that is suitable for a light or lightest touch larp.
Approximately 5 months ago, LarpMix and Armoury-Terrain were challenged by The Prop Smith on his channel to make a larp sword. Although it's been a while, Maxx finally finished the sword and this is his response to the challenge.
The reason this video took so long is because I finished the sword about a month after the challenge video came out, but I had it tied to my brush guard on my vehicle to dry, forgot it was there and went for a cruise... Well, it came off while driving, ripped the handle up, the pommel came off and the blade got mangled a bit. I didn't have a lot of free to time to start over, so instead of remaking the whole project, I repaired it and this is the result.
I hope you enjoy seeing a different style of sword making on my channel, I'll admit I was a little outside my area of expertise on this build and I certainly learned a few trial and error lessons from it. Sometime in the near future, I will do a full tutorial on building a weapon in this style, so stay tuned.
