How To Factory Reset Nest Doorbell Wired 2nd Generation:
1. Remove the screw holding the Nest Doorbell Wired 2nd Generation on to the Doorbell mounting bracket located at the top of the device. To remove the screw you will need a 2.5MM allen wrench and will need to turn the screw counter clockwise to remove.
2. It's important to note the power is still on to the doorbell so be careful not to touch the wires when you remove it and follow safe protocols for working with electricity. Once the screw has been removed you will need to push up from the bottom of the Nest Doorbell Wired to release it from the mounting lugs. You will feel it release and then you can pull the doorbell forward. Be careful not to touch the live wires on the screws when pulling the Nest Doorbell Wired forward to work with it
3. Use a paperclip or something small to then press down on the button inside the small hole on the back side of the top of the Nest Doorbell Wired. Press and hold down the button with the wire for approximately 25 seconds until you hear the Nest doorbell Wired "Beep" indicating that it has been Factory Reset. After 20 seconds you can release the button and the Nest Doorbell Wired 2nd Generation will be reset.
4. You can then use the Google Home App to set your Nest Doorbell Wired 2nd Generation up.
