We can power simple electronics with PD (USB-c, power delivery) by retrofitting, but there are many things to learn before you proceed! Please plan and review before attempting this kind of project.

For each project there are some limitations to consider. Thanks to @richardamullens and @dong6839 and @TheDeLectronics making comments right away about caviats and concerns. The required knowledge and considerations depends on each device you will power. For that reason, I will attempt a full video with a few examples of adapting devices for USB-c, and I'll aim to include the steps to consider safety and robustness.
