"I was actually listening to a song called "hiccup" by a really cool Canadian band called Valley, and they use the line "costume party" in the lyrics. I kind of latched onto that idea as a metaphor and brought it into the studio the next day. It's a vulnerable and introspective track that discusses our flawed human instinct to compare ourselves and our success to other people."
