I cut newspapers into 5 parts, a 9 cm strip, using needles of 1.5 mm and 1 mm.

Last time I like to use a 1 mm knitting needle, the tubes are better.
From office paper, the tubes I use are only on racks, as they are very dense.
From newspapers that spin along, I twist long tubes for large items. The width of the strip is 10-12 cm, the needle is 2.5 m.
