Obtain, Evaluate and Communicate Information - Level 3 - Integrating Information
In this video Paul Andersen shows you how to obtain, evaluate and communicate information in a mini-lesson on integrating information. Two examples are included in the video and two additional examples are included in the linked thinking slides.
TERMS
Claim - an answer to a scientific question
Information - facts provided or learned about something
Integrate - combine with another so they become whole
Media - means of communication (e.g. internet, video, magazine, etc.)
This progression is based on the Science and Engineering Practices elements from the NRC document A Framework for K-12 Science Education. “Integrate information in written text with that contained in media and visual displays to clarify claims and findings.”
