Battle of Mesterby 2019
In July 1361, King Valdemar 4th (Atterdag) of Denmark invaded Gotland in the Baltic. He landed in the south of the island and marched north. At Mesterby Gotland´s peasant army tried to stop the Danes. This battle and the the Battle of Visby some days later are reenacted every second year. This video made by my daughter Kristine, shows the reenacted battle in 2019. I had the honor to be king Valdemar.Beskrivelse
