Idiom of the Week:

“Red-eye Flight”

Meaning: an overnight flight

Ex: “I have a red-eye flight to New York tonight.”

Learn: Verbs "pick up" and "drop off"

Practice: Repeat the phrases after me:

Can you pick me up from the airport?

I need to pick her up from the airport.

Can you pick us up from the airport?

Tomorrow I have to pick him up.

Can you drop me off at the airport?

I need to drop her off at the airport.

Can you drop us off at the airport?

Tomorrow I have to drop him off.


Conversation Practice

Tomorrow I’m flying to New York City.

Maybe. What time?
At 9:00 in the morning.
Yes, I can do that.
