We took attendees through the process of machining 1-1/2 diameter lead-free brass from Weiland Chase to produce an HSK ER16 toolholder. With the aid of 20 different tools deployed on both the main and sub spindles, the toolholder is impressively manufactured in just 6 minutes, from start to finish.
The QuickTECH i-42 ULTIMATE's dual B-axes allowed us to produce multiple milling and angular features with absolute precision. By harnessing the power of B-axis movement on both the main and sub spindles, we unlock the potential for sub spindle "free" work overlapping, enabling intricate and complex features to be machined seamlessly.
