Working with MIDI can be a blessing or a curse, depending on how much experience you have working with virtual instrument tracks and, specifically, the MIDI editor.

In this video, we’ll start with going through the basics such as "What is MIDI?" and "How to Set Up a MIDI/Virtual Instrument track". From there, we'll progress to discussing the ins and outs of the MIDI editor and how to start producing music with virtual instruments. We'll pay special attention to the mouse modifiers and actions/key commands that will exponentially speed up our music production workflow (REAPER specific). We'll then dive into some very useful MIDI Editor preferences and view settings, as well as how to manipulate the entire MIDI item as a whole. Lastly, we'll finish the video off with a few bonus tips to hit it home.
