In this python workshop session, users will walk through a programming tutorial to load, and explore data from the "NYC OpenData" portal, to generate insights and build data-driven answers. We will explore the NYC311 dataset, ask questions about the dataset, visualize, and predict complaints from the past lockdown period. All levels of data enthusiasts are invited to this session. Participants are welcome to follow along with the workshop, by downloading any compatible open-source data science software such as 'anaconda' or use a free web-based platform such as 'google colab', 'kaggle'...etc.

ABOUT NYC OPEN DATA WEEK
Open Data Week is a week-long festival of community-driven events organized and produced by the NYC Mayor’s Office of Data Analytics and BetaNYC. Every year, New Yorkers come together all across the boroughs to celebrate New York City’s Open Data Law, which was signed into law on March 7, 2012. Coincidentally, the first weekend of March is also International Open Data Day. Together, we use both dates to anchor NYC’s Open Data Week and increase civic engagement with our municipal open data.
