Are BITMAP METAs The Next 100x Opportunity on Bitcoin?! Introducing Metaverse Enabled Tokenized Apps
Bitmap is about to cross 40k total holders which means several new entrants are arriving to the metaverse on Bitcoin space. So what should a new Bitmap holder expect from a Bitmap? After a year of development there are several fragmented attempts at creating value for Bitmap owners, which is fine. Different interpretations in direction can be good since it introduces a broader possibility of unlocking the metaverse killer app moment. Also, this was sort of the point of Bitmap when compared to other web3 metaverse ecosystems which were created by a central authority that decided on overall ecosystem direction.
So we explore our contribution to this grand quest in discovering optimal metaverse utility by introducing the concept of *METAs* (Metaverse Enabled Tokenized Applications) after Jeff (founder of BRC420) made some interesting remarks recently about metaverse apps. We introduced this concept to Decentraland years ago and built frameworks that enabled developers to create functional applications that are deployable within the virtual environment owned by DCL land owners.
The results of this were astonishing as it gave creators the ability to contribute value and monetize their efforts by providing much needed engaging content to land owners who otherwise would not be able to create themselves. Example METAs are showcased such as a DEX machine where users can interact with it in 3D space to transact directly with a decentralized swapping protocol. The owner of the asset and the land owner hosting the machine both get payment splits for facilitating these services in the metaverse.
With these frameworks now being applied to the BitmapOS stack we are developing, will the resulting META economy deployed throughout Bitmaps result in a killer app moment for the metaverse on Bitcoin movement?
