In the indie-game space, even moreso than the AAA game space, you will find styles and aesthetics that have become their own visual sub-genres. In today's video, I'm checking out 3 games that not only feature wizards or witches as the hero, but also use a chunky pixelart style, and use single-story dungeon maps rather than vertical level design.
There's something about this aesthetic that is comforting in it's nostalgia but also cozy in it's inherent cuteness, inspite of all the blood and destruction. lol
