People Do Nothing In This Space Out Competition
In this space-out competition, people compete at doing nothing. Last year, it was held on the Jamsu Bridge near the Han River in Seoul, South Korea.
Among some 3,800 applicants, 50 teams and individuals were selected and given the chance to zone out for an hour and a half. Participants included young students, office workers, and even actor Um Hyun-kyung.
Contestants were ranked based on audience votes and their ability to keep their heart rate stable. VICE talked to some of the participants including this year’s winner.
