For those of you who have taken my Twinmotion course, this will give you a general overview of what has changed for Twinmotion 2020. As I show in the video, there are quite a few things, but many of them will be probably less noticeable to you in the user interface. That is good, because that means everything in the course still applies, but there are some things to be aware of. Here is a list of some of the important updates:
Higher quality trees with age parameter built in
Scatter tool for vegetation
New GI model (higher quality GI)
New Sky Model (more physically accurate)
Area Lights
Volume Lights
Frosted Glass material
Grunge settings in materials
Note Tool added
Higher quality people, still and animated
Better Depth of Field
Presenter Tool
Overall, Epic games is doing a lot of things to improve the quality of rendering you can get out of Twinmotion, which is a huge plus. They have also added many upgrades to the asset library, with Megascans objects being added, 3d people being improved, etc.
