Volkswagen Truck Production Line | Volkswagen Factory Tour - How Truck is Made
Volkswagen Caminhes e Nibus in Resende, Brazil produces the Volkswagen Meteor, a modified version of the MAN TGX of the first generation.
The Meteor, which debuted on September 1, 2020, is Volkswagen's top-of-the-line pickup truck model. The MAN lion grille has been replaced with a new full-width grille and the Volkswagen badge, the only exterior alterations. From the TGX, the inside has not altered much.
Volkswagenwerk AG purchased a 67% share in Chrysler Motors do Brasil Ltd. in 1979. (:pt). It raised its ownership to 100% in January 1980, giving it the authority to change the company's name to Volkswagen Caminhes Ltda.
