Analyze 'Other' Responses in Select-All Questions with Microsoft Forms 🔥 [VIEWER QUESTION]
Thanks to @bartomiejMatoga-mm3gn for this question about how to deal with "other" responses from multiple select or "select all that apply" questions in Microsoft Forms. They certiainly don't make it easy for us to analyze these in a user friendly way, but with this series of Excel formulas with functions we can separate out the most important parts of the export to use in simple analysis. 🧪 Excel Formulas We Used
Remove the trailing semi-colon from the cell "=LEFT(A1,LEN(A1)-1)"
Return the last phrase after the final semi-colon "=TRIM(RIGHT(SUBSTITUTE(A1, ";", REPT(" ", LEN(A1))), LEN(A1)))"
