Benimaru is regarded as the strongest Fire Officer in the Special Fire Force,[6] and is known as "Asakusa's King of Destruction" because of the devastating power that he is capable of unleashing.[1] He is an extremely skilled and powerful hand-to-hand combatant, as shown when he easily outmaneuvered Maki Oze and was easily able to overpower the combined might of Maki, Shinra Kusakabe, Tamaki Kotatsu, Arthur Boyle, and Takehisa Hinawa.[7] He is extremely fast, able to outpace Shinra's Rapid technique.[8] He is also a very capable teacher, training both Shinra and Arthur on multiple occasions to become stronger.[9][10][11] According to Konro, Benimaru has surpassed their old master, Hibachi Shinmon.[12]
