In this video, we show you how to use The Boring Toolbox to bulk update the settings on your Hanwha and Axis cameras to enable adaptive streaming in Milestone XProtect.

Enabling adaptive streaming on Milestone XProtect will improve the performance of the Smart Client by reducing the stream resolution and alleviating bandwidth. It automatically chooses the most appropriate resolution for the video stream view in the Smart Client. This is especially helpful for admins who view video in multiple tiles.

Typically, you would need to enable adaptive streaming on each camera in Milestone individually. The Boring Toolbox automates this process for you by allowing you to update your cameras in bulk.
