This review video covers: The definition for a form of government, Democracy (direct and indirect/representative), Oligarchy, Monarchy (absolute and constitutional), Dictator, Autocracy, Anarchy, Socialism, and Communism. While these are not ALL of the forms of government, and do not factor in countries that blend multiple forms of government into one, it is EVERYTHING that will appear on your state Civics exam.
It does not cover anything outside the Florida Standard: SS.7.C.3.1
A lot of resources I used to use would cover extra things my students didn't need to know for the state exam like Juntas and Theocracies (which I inevitably bring up but don't require students to test on). So I made a video that cuts right to the chase and goes over the standard and nothing more.
This video is designed for middle and high school level civics/government classes. I use these to teach, review for tests, or remediate after tests. Also used at the end of the year for EOC or final exam type state assessments. They can be done with guided instruction from the teacher or assigned individually (Works well with home connect or distance learning). Thanks for watching!
