Humans have over 200 bones in their bodies. But what does it mean to feel something in your bones?
AM: Andrew, my neighbor is doing something bad. Last night I saw her dragging something heavy across her yard.
AS: She was probably taking out the trash, or gardening.
AM: At night? No, it was definitely something illegal. I can feel it in my bones.
AS: The last time you felt something in your bones, you were totally wrong.
If you can feel something in your bones, you have a strong feeling about something. But you can’t prove it. It’s just a sense that you have.
