Waiting On Hurricane Milton | Perspective From A Utility Worker | Life Lessons
Hurricanes are nothing new to Florida, but Milton is the big one. Everybody has a role to play in preparedness and recovery. Catastrophic weather patterns strike fear into the hearts of people found in its path and I’m not sure one ever really gets used to it. The anticipation of what you will be left with when it’s time to pick up the pieces leaves a sinking feeling in your stomach.
Patterns in life often become upset by turbulence in the atmosphere that we’ve worked hard to create in order to live a peaceful, comfortable life. Can living through a hurricane, tornado, or any other cataclysmic event teach us a thing or two about strength and resilience?
We better hope so.
