PSY 2110 Statistics: Distribution of Sample Means, #1
In this video, I explain that a distribution of sample means is created by obtaining every possible sample, based on some given sample size, from a parent population of individual scores. After obtaining every possible sample, sample means are computed for each sample, and the resulting distribution of values is a distribution of sample means. Using a very small-scale example, I walk through creating a distribution of sample means from scratch. That said, I also explain that distributions of sample means can be created quickly and easily, based on our knowledge of central limit theorem.
