Amy suffered a stroke, after an ECG, Echocardiogram, CT, and MRI brain scan it was undercovered that she had shunting of the microbubbles from the right side of the heart to the left side of the heart. We can lower the risk by closing the PFO, we do this by putting in effect a cufflink to button the PFO close.
Amy had her PFO closed at OneWelbeck Heart Health and the whole procedure took around 40 minutes, a few hours later Amy went home with her family to come and pick her up.
