1602 Galileo was the first person to view Mars with a telescope.
1629-1695 Christiaan Huygens used a 50X telescope to draw the first Mars.
1827 Giovanni Schiaparelli used a 22cm telescope to draw a detailed map of Mars with “canali”.
Parcival Lowell used a 12” and 18” telescope to turn “canali” into canals )built by Martians.
H. G. Wells made Martians “real with the movie “War of the Worlds”.
Ray Bradbury wrote the Martian Chronicles. (1950)
