How to tune your ukulele | Ukulele for kids
In this video we'll learn how to tune your ukulele! Standard tuning for soprano, concert and tenor sized ukuleles is GCEA, which means we tune the 4 strings to these notes.

🎵Here are the steps to tune:
1. You can use a clip on tuner or a tuning app like Guitar Tuna. (There is a free version, and this is what I like to use!) Clip the tuner to the head of your ukulele and turn it on.
2. Start with your G string. Make slight adjustments using the tuning pegs until the string is in tune. If the note/pitch is too high, the note is sharp. If it's too low, it is flat. Turning the tuning peg to tighten a string will make the note higher. Turning the tuning peg to loosen a string will make the note lower.
3. Continue with each string (C, E and A) until each one is in tune.
4. After tuning, recheck each string one more time! Now you're ready to play. :)
✨Note: If your ukulele is brand new out of the box, you may need to turn the tuning pegs quite a lot in order to get the correct notes to sound. New ukuleles may need to be tuned more often, but will settle in soon and be easier and quicker to tune!
