Meet Akilah Divine, a versatile artist from Baltimore, is a singer, spoken word artist, rapper, and actress with a master's degree in Social Work. Her hit single "TRIBE" earned four Best Music Video awards and was accepted in 14 film festivals. Akilah has graced prestigious stages, opening for Grammy-nominated singer Mumu Fresh, performing at notable events like "The Ladybug Festival," and winning the "HOT97 Who's Next" heat of the week competition. As a judge for various poetry competitions and currently serving as the Director of OST Programming at the Greenmount West Community Center, Akilah seamlessly merges her artistic prowess with community engagement, continuing to inspire through her writing, music, and dedication to the arts.

This year, an impressive roster of 28 artists are uniting for the Black Futures Cypher, produced by Von Vargas, to raise funds for organizations driving social change. A new song will drop every day during February incorporating one of the principles of the Nguzo Saba.
