PhotoShop: Eyedropper Tool Not Working? I bet this will work. Choose All Layers
This short is a quick video for beginner designers frustrated when using the Photoshop eyedropper tool. If you're selecting a color and it's not changing, you likely have your Sample Dropdown set to something other than "All Layers." There are 5 options for sampling:
1) Current Layer
2) Current & Below
3) All Layers
4) All Layers No Adjustments
5) Current and Below No Adjustments
With your Eyedropper tool active, look to the top of your screen and change the Sample selection. This should allow you to sample the color you intended!
