Blue Prism | Tutorial | Functions | Part 6 - Data and File
Blue Prism tutorial on the basics of the in-built Data Function (Bytes) and File Functions (LoadBinaryFile and LoadTextFile).
In this video, I show how to use the functions in the Data and File functions groups along with a few actions from the Utility - File Management VBO in order to fill in the rest of the functionality we need for this tutorial. What we go through is reading a binary file, getting the size in bytes of that data, and then we write the data back to the desktop to verify that the file format was maintained. And then we go through the same steps for a text file.
Always remember when you’re working with binary data (or really any data output) output to verify that the output format has maintained its original integrity, especially if you’re using this to move around files for audit purposes.
