Execution Command Not Found Kali Linux Tutorial | Permission Denied Error Fixed
I've two users in my Kali Linux Machine, Superuser Root, and 2nd user with no root permissions. I copied a file from an external drive attached to my machine. Unable to play it on my 2nd user.
There are all the permissions of execution provided to the file, still unable to rename, open.
In this video, you will learn how to use chmod and chown, chgrp commands, which play the main role in changing ownership and related permissions of a particular file or directory.

Some example commands
[User can be username root or some other user]
chown username:username filename [To change file ownership]
chgrp username filename [To change the file group]
Execution permissions
chmod 000 filename [no permissions]
chmod 777 filename [all permissions]
Three users [can be viewed using ls -l very first line backwords the file name]
[ - - - ] [ - - - ] [ - - - ]
user group others
first ' - ' means read [r]
2nd ' - ' means write [w]
3rd ' - ' means execute [e]
['a' stands for all similarly u for user g for group o for others you can use + to add permissions, - to remove the permissions and = to overwrite the permissions.]
There are three types of permissions
r=read
w=write
x=execute
-=no permissions
each user has all the above 3 permissions you can allow or restrict them using commands written below for more details please watch the full video.
chmod a=rwx filename [all permissions]
chmod a=--- filename [no permissions, a stands for all ]
