6 Soldiers Abducted & Killed in Kashmir What Went Wrong
He had come to his uncle's house in Shopian district, Jammu and Kashmir to attend a marriage ceremony in his family. On the night of 9 May 2017 he was abducted from his uncle's house. Militants shot him twice, and his dead body was found the next morning.

Aurangzeb, a rifleman with 44 Rashtriya Rifles - was kidnapped and shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama when he was travelling in a private vehicle, on his way home in Poonch to celebrate Eid with his family.

The body of sub-inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, who was posted with the CID in Srinagar's Sheergadi, was recovered from the Chewa Kalan area of the district, the officials said. He was targeted when he was returning home, they said. Police have registered a case and investigating has been taken up, the officials said.

A policeman who was kidnapped by terrorists in south Kashmir's Shopian district on Thursday was found dead this morning with multiple bullet wounds. Constable Javed Ahmed Dar was kidnapped from near his home in Vehil when he had gone to buy medicine last evening, said the police.
Javed Ahmed was a personal security officer to Senior Superintendent of Police Shailendra Mishra.

The constable was identified as Mohammad Salim Shah. He was killed by the suspected militants after his abduction on Friday night, a police spokesperson said. Shah had been working as a special police officer and had been recently promoted, officials said. He was undergoing police training in Kathua.

The body of a missing Territorial Army soldier from the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir has been recovered, officials said today. Hilal Ahmad Bhat was among the two soldiers who were allegedly kidnapped by terrorists during search operations in the forest area of Anantnag last night.
