DIY Social Media: Video Tools - Clipchamp review
I use a couple of different programs for video editing, so I'm going to give you a little review on each one. This first one is @clipchamp. It's a tech startup from Brisbane, Australia, and is really growing in popularity. I made a quick little video for you using the screen record feature in there.
Firstly, Clipchamp is nice and easy to use. It has a free version, a mid level subscription and a premium subscription. The resolution on the free level is pretty low, so I'd suggest getting the $12.50/month version if you do tend to do a couple of videos a month.
The availability of stock audio and video for free is pretty small, but there's probably something you could use for a few videos in there. Or you can purchase stock videos to use from $7.
It's easily set up to size and resize videos for Social Media, so you don't have to be a tech expert to work out the export. It's really easy to add audio and text and to split your video to cut out the bloopers.
The biggest con with it is that it doesn't have an "auto-subtitle" feature like one of the other programs I use, but for short videos it's not a big hassle. They do seem to be keen to keep on improving the system though, so this may be addressed in the future.
