Vertical Shooting Made Easy!
With Zhiyun’s new Crane 2S, there is now a dedicated Vertical Shooting feature (Portrait Mode) that we could truly rely upon, even with heavier setups. Having the ability to film in this format encourages us to think outside the box - outside of just composing shots in the standard 16:9 horizontal video format. The vertical format has been around for a while now but yet there is still very little dedicated professional equipment to create vertical films.
A good quote talking about the Vertical Format by Jourdan Aldredge, on Damien Chazelle vertical short film - The Stunt Double - “Whether you like vertical filmmaking or not, if when you do create a vertical film/video, “remember to embrace and elevate the limitations.”

Note: To prevent the lens from leaning down, Zhiyun officially recommends using the provided lens support when shooting vertically. Additionally, in cases where the camera backing base is needed, the quick release plate must be tightened with the two screws provided.
