Originally released on December 7, 2012. Mars' writing and production team, the Smeezingtons, composed the entire record and collaborated with several past collaborators, Jeff Bhasker and Supa Dups, while enlisting new producers such as Mark Ronson and Emile Haynie.
The album debuted at #2 on the US Billboard 200, and reached number #1 in Australia, Canada, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Unorthodox
Jukebox was the fourth best-selling album of 2013 and is currently certified 6x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In 2014, Unorthodox Jukebox won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 56th Grammy Awards and International Album of the Year at the Juno Awards.
Unorthodox Jukebox yielded five hit singles, including two US Billboard Hot 100 #1’s: the RIAA Diamond-certified "Locked Out of Heaven" and the RIAA Diamond-certified "When I Was Your Man".
