Yes, I really did sleep on the floor of the JFK airport...
And as I was sleeping next to some shady people, I started my freelance songwriting journey. My first few songwriting jobs came after that, and one happened to turn into a long term co-writer. And 2 years later, I was flying into the JFK airport to record with him and David Baron (the Lumineers, P!nk, Shawn Mendes).
And after 2 years of working together remotely (I was in South Africa and he was in New Jersey), we eventually made it happen and he brought me to New York to record a single (the first song we actually wrote together back in 2022). It’s called Super 8 and you can listen right here:
