In this video, I will show you how to add small pieces of fabric to a sweatshirt bottom to make a dress. It is really unique and stylish. First you have to cut diamonds, and then cut the tops off. Then, you will sew them together. After that, you gather the fabric to the size of the waistband of the sweatshirt.
To gather a long piece of fabric, you sew it around the perimeter with the longest stitch. make sure you secure one end, and leave the other end loose. Pull one of the strings from the sewing you just did, and pull it to slowly gather it to make it the same size as the perimeter of the waistband.
Now, sew the long gathered piece to the bottom of the sweatshirt. Put is on and dance around like a crazy person. :)
