This algebra math video explains how to to determine whether an ordered pair is a solution to a linear equation in two variables. To determine whether an ordered pair is a solution to a linear equation, first substitute the values of X and Y from the ordered pair into the equation. Then, simplify. If both sides of the equation are equal after simplifying, then the ordered pair is a solution. Otherwise, it is not a solution.
