Abstract: SAP Cloud Platform provides the environment for cloud applications extending SAP S/4HANA. Developing an application on any kind of cloud platform requires to first learn about the concepts and interfaces of the platform. We present the SAP S/4HANA Cloud SDK (sap.com/s4sdk), which substantially reduces the effort of building applications on the SAP Cloud Platform.
In this session, we demonstrate how you can build your own SAP S/4HANA extension on the SAP Cloud Platform with the SDK in only a few minutes.
We also discuss various SDK features that facilitate application development, such as abstractions of the underlying cloud platform implementation, fault tolerance, cache management, and project templates. Finally, we cover continuous integration tools and SonarQube rules that are delivered with the SDK. These components enable us to quickly set up the development, quality assurance, and deployment environment that is essential for the development in the cloud.
Last but not least, we showcase examples of productive applications that make use of the SDK components."
