The screenplay that became a novel
It's hard as a first time screenwriter to get your screenplay produced, especially without representation. The screenplay was originally written in 1998, and was left whilst I earned a living as filmmaker and having a family. Fast forward to CoVid and I dug it out, set my other film projects aside and rewrote this 4 times with help from a Hollywood script mentor. Having completed the screenplay I decided to build my audience for the story by rewriting it on more time as a novel and self publishing.
Here it is, The Compromise, an action packed, crime thriller set in the underworld of the 1990s.
What's it like? Think, the scope of Star Wars, action and characters of Tarantino and the comedy of Guy Ritchie.
