The Smart UV Sphere demonstrates the innovative use of UV-C LEDs for disinfection purposes. The combination with the UV sensor allows a closed-loop balancing of the irradiation and dose. Due to radiation monitoring, aging drifts of the LEDs can be compensated automatically by a longer irradiation. This assures an efficient disinfection over the whole lifetime of the device.
