We are exposed to a tremendous amount of information flow every day. This information load on us consumes our mental resources. That's why we take lots of notes. We fill pages and pages of notebooks. But then we forget what and where we wrote.
There are two basic methods today to access information.
The first is to use a search engine. Write the concept you want in a box; Click search, and it finds it. In fact, it scans public web pages prepared by others and offers you a list of links.
The second is to use artificial intelligence. Write the concept you want in a box; ask, and it answers. In fact, it educates itself with publicly available information prepared by others and creates a text suitable for your question.
If you pay attention, in both methods you are limited to publicly available information and documents that are prepared by others.
By using the search engine, I can, not only access private information that is in my computer. Likewise, since artificial intelligence is not trained with my documents, it cannot give me specific answers to the questions I ask.
What if there was a way to use the power of both in my own work environment? This question has been on my mind since the first day artificial intelligence started to become widespread. Can't I have my own AI engine?
I want such an artificial intelligence that can scan only the documents in my field of work and answer my questions only within the framework of my own information. Let it learn my notes, plans, previous decisions and use them effectively. Let it act like a second brain. Let it be the librarian of a library that belongs only to me. Do I wish for too much? It all starts with a wish.
I tried many tools and methods for this and compared the results. And I think I finally found a solution that meets my desire. And in a note application that I have been using for a long time called Notion.
I've talked about Notion before and how I use it. I also explained how you can evaluate artificial intelligence in 17 different ways with the Notion AI feature. Of course, I not only just talk about them, but also use them on a daily basis. Simply put, while preparing these videos, I take all my notes, thoughts, do my research and planning using Notion.
Now they have released a new feature called Q&A. But I call it Borges. Look, not Jarvis, but Borges. You know, Jorge Luis Borges, who wrote "The Library of Babel", one of the most important literary works of the 20th century, and who was also a librarian himself. I named it after him.
