Lion VS Buffalo
When a few lions try to snatch a young buffalo calf, mom charges the felines repeatedly and manages to fend them off for a while, but the calf is eventually killed. Mom manages to rejoin the herd, after some tough battles trying to save her calf. When a pride of lions surrounds a buffalo bull, the fight is much harder than expected, as the bull sends a few lions flying into the air. The buffalo can be seen with a deep open wound on his behind, but he still manages to escape from the attacking felines. The question is; how long will he last with these injuries. In Tanzania’s Ruaha National Park, water is hard to come by during the dry season.
Without it, animals like the cape buffalo will die. And so, they’ll do anything for a drink – even take on a pride of hungry lions. In stunning footage of an exciting chase, we show you lions’ hunting trying to isolate a buffalo – and how it’s possible even for these experienced predators to make mistakes. When a huge herd like this decides to face the pride, there isn’t much the felines can do, except wait for the herd to panic, and make a mistake, so they can isolate the weak old, and possibly injured, but it doesn’t always work out for the pride, as you can see in this video.
Elephant VS Rhino
During a night stroll, an elephant spots a rhino and decides to attack the rhino, by charging into the animal. The rhino tries to find a way out of his mess, but the elephant plows him into the ground and keeps him there by putting pressure on his body. It doesn’t look good for the rhino. On a late afternoon game drive in the Kruger National Park, wildlife enthusiasts stopped to watch a lone male white rhino drinking water at a pan. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a large male elephant appeared at the pan. The bull elephant seemed incredibly irate to find another large animal at the waterhole. The elephant bull aggressively confronted the rhino, and the rhino initially stood his ground.
The angry elephant then decided to get physical and pushed the rhino onto its side. The rhino started squealing and screaming while the angry elephant relentlessly pushed and shoved the fallen rhino with its tusks. The extremely endangered classification of the rhinoceros prompted the guide to distract the elephant bull by moving his vehicle and shouting and whistling at the elephant. This seemed to have the desired outcome and shortly afterwards the rhino could be seen beating a hasty retreat. Elephants introduced to the Pilansberg reserve in 1979 were almost always culling orphans.
The younger bulls were behaving terribly, intimidating females, and attempting to force them to mate since they lacked larger role models to show them the ropes. As a result of their actions, the juvenile elephants became violent and attacked rhinos and multiple tourist vehicles, killing 40 rhinos, and injuring one human. The youngster's dissatisfaction stemmed from the females' rejection. The females noticed the young bulls were not fully developed and refused to mate with them, triggering strong reactions from the youngsters in their hormonal states, resulting in rhino deaths and other aggressive behaviors.
