Jailen Andderson- Final Project
The question I decided to explore for my final project is: “Who is the real you if we are always changing?”. I chose this topic because it is something that has weighed on my mind recently as I’ve reflected on how I have changed in various ways through different stages in my life. I have found that moments of confusion and questioning have arisen when I’ve tried to cling to aspects of myself from the past that I wish were more present now. Through this project I consider the viewer to search for their “true self” as well (if there is such a thing). Is the development of self a linear process or do aspects of our “true self” ebb and flow throughout our lives? Is there such a thing as the “real you” or is it a human construct? Hopefully, we can make peace with these two components of our nature; to cling and to change.
