Shai Littlejohn is an attorney, business strategist, singer - songwriter, recording artist and speaker. Equal parts legal eagle and song bird, Shai represents Fortune 500 corporations and performs her unique sultry mix of original Americana, soul, country and pop music.
Shai was raised in Ohio where she sang her heart out to Motown classics and artists like Whitney Houston, Shania Twain, Phil Collins, Michael Jackson, and Dolly Parton.
After working as a Washington lawyer for more than a decade, Shai knew that the desire to live her dream created dissatisfaction in her career. She auditioned for Berklee College of Music in Boston and joined the winter 2010 entering class. She resigned from her law job and started her own legal consulting business so that she could commute between a tiny studio apartment in Boston and her new law practice in Washington DC.
In 2012, Shai moved to Nashville where she built a new client base of artists, start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. While there, Shai wrote and recorded three EPs and toured throughout the eastern half of the country. In 2016, she won the Tennessee Songwriter Association’s Horizon Award for emerging songwriters. She lives in Nashville, TN and Houston, TX and continues to mentor small business owners, soon-to-be entrepreneurs and big dreamers.
Through her own journey, Shai encourages listeners to grow beyond their perceived limitations and live life with fewer regrets, even when “the how” seems impossible. She speaks to groups about the power of the dream, which she says begins with the firm decision to accept and embrace who you are, acknowledge who you’re not, opening the pathway to the most fulfilling version of yourself.
“I knew I had to move when the fear of never living my dream began to outweigh my fear of failing at it. I didn’t know that I would unveil a truer, happier version of myself.”
