the short version: lady and the tramp 2, except scamp is a trans girl and angel is a trans boy.
the long version: another video featuring trans girl scamp and trans boy angel, which really are some of my favorite headcanons in animash :3 the plot is basically the same as the movie, except the reason scamp runs away is because her father doesn't accept her as transgender. hopefully the video isn't too hard to understand on its own, but i'll try to explain it in more detail just in case! remember that i will be referring to scamp with she/her and angel with he/him.
PLOT (and voiceover transcriptions):
scamp, a trans girl, and angel, a trans boy, are best friends. they're out to each other, but scamp isn't out to her family yet.
"pop, i just don't feel like i belong here."
scamp tries to come out to her father, but it doesn't go well. heartbroken, scamp runs away and looks for angel. angel is happy to see her, and takes her to officially meet his "family" - the junkyard dogs. scamp quickly learns that while angel is out to them, they don't always respect his gender. it hurts him, but he has nowhere else to go and tries to deal with it.
"that's my girl."
buster recognizes scamp as tramp's child. still bitter over his ex, buster comes up with a plan for revenge and does his best to get on scamp's good side. it's not difficult; she had immediately looked up to him, and gendering her properly once he learned she was trans proved to be an easy way to gain her trust.
angel and scamp continue to bond. they often have long, deep conversations about their issues with gender and dysphoria, among many other things.
"you don't have to prove anything, scamp."
buster, meanwhile, continues to encourage scamp to act out and get into trouble. this culminates in scamp ruining her family's picnic and, of course, running into her father again.
"i know what's best for him!" / "no! you know what's best for you!"
tramp tries to reconcile with scamp, but when he misgenders her in front of buster, she snaps and yells at him to leave.
"he's your father! go after him!"
a little later, angel, who's never had a real family, gets upset with scamp for not trying harder to make amends with her father. they start arguing until the dogcatcher suddenly shows up, and they take off running.
"that's my boy."
scamp is caught, and when she looks to buster for help, he simply laughs, misgenders her, and leaves her for the dogcatcher. angel runs to scamp's family for help, begging tramp to rescue his daughter and to accept her for who she is. tramp finally realizes his mistakes, and runs with angel to rescue scamp from the pound.
they find scamp in a fight with a much larger dog. tramp saves the day, and he apologizes to scamp, who he now understands is his daughter. they walk back home together, and scamp asks angel to stay with them. he agrees, and the video ends with the two of them going on their first official date.
