React.js is very a popular framework with a strong ecosystem, but it's not good enough for production. Next.js builds on top of React.js to add server-side rendering.

This video is the 5th part in a series that follows my progress in building ThumbGen.io– an instant YouTube thumbnail generator web app. In this video, I'll show how (and why) I switched from pure React.js to Next.js, from both a code and architectural viewpoint.
