**CRISPY SKIN SALMON RECIPE**
Making salmon with crispy skin is really easy, but there are a few key steps to getting it right. Read below for the exact steps that I used to make this delicious salmon dinner.
1. Take the scales off of the salmon by running a sharp knife along the scales. You can use your finger or the knife to see which direction the scales are laying. To remove them, slide the knife the opposite way.
2. Slice the salmon into individual servings and rinse off the scales.
3. Pat dry. This is super important to having a crispy skin and good color on the other side.
4. Season the pink side with whatever you want. I used salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Season the skin side with salt only. Any other seasonings will burn.
5. Check the temperature of your pan by sprinkling it with water. If the water makes little beads that skate across the pan, it's ready to go.
6. Add oil to the pan and place the salmon skin side down. Press it for about 20 seconds to get a good seal. Allow it to cook for 5-7 minutes. Don't move it during this time.
7. After 5-7 minutes, flip the salmon over. It should release easily from the pan. Continue to cook for 1-2 minutes on the pink side.
8. Remove from pan and enjoy!
