How to Delete Blank Rows in Excel (Step-by-step Guide)
While working with large datasets in Excel, you may need to clean the data to use it further. One common data cleaning step is to delete blank rows from it.
Now there are various ways to delete blank rows in Excel:
-- Go to each blank row and delete it manually (too tedious and time-consuming).
-- Sort the entire data set so that all the blank rows are at the bottom (works but alters the data set).
-- Use Go To special technique to select all the blank cells at once and delete the rows (way to go).
In this video, I will show you how to use Go To Special dialog box to quickly select blank cells and then delete these from the data set.
I will also show you how to use Go To Special dialog box to select blank cells and then format these or enter some placeholder text in it (such as 0 or Not Available).
