Captain of the Port says this final phase of OS35 removal is delicate & complex
An important development this weekend with the OS35 - with crews able to lift the stern of the vessel out of the suction of the seabed.
The stern of the OS35 now sits on the seabed, all ready for the next step in its removal.
It's all part of the final phase of the operation to remove the OS35 from our shores.
On Saturday salvage crews, were finally able to start work after having to delay last week due to poor weather conditions.
The Captain of the Port says this final phase is delicate and complex. John Ghio says things will move slowly and crews will not be under pressure to work to meet any deadlines.
