Empowered Women, Peaceful Communities 2019
UN Women is implementing the project "Empowered Women, Peaceful Communities” in South and Southeast Asia with an emphasis in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. In the Philippines, UN Women works on women's economic empowerment by strengthening economic and leadership opportunities. In Indonesia, peace villages bring people of different background together to create change. In Bangladesh, UN Women supports female students to develop social business plans with innovative ideas that promote gender equality, peace and resilience in their society.
